Newport to Catalina- first time

I went to Avalon. It’s funny, when I was struggling, harbor patrol was nowhere to be found. As soon as I got my lines tied, there he was. I guess I learned more this way.

I will definitely make a trip to Two Harbors next time.

That was my very first trip, San Diego to Avalon. There was no wind, a rolly swell and we made the trip at night. We all ended up barfing. But it was still a really fun adventure. My wife took the fast catamaran out and met up with us.

Try to do a little meditation or circular breathing before you get on board and remember that people have sailed around the world in boats smaller and less seaworthy than yours. You are going to have a blast!
