Trent Severn Waterway

For those of you who have traveled the Trent Severn Waterway, specifically Orillia, Ontario to upper Lake Michigan. I would love to hear your experiences and feedback. Is it a fairly simple route? How was crossing the Georgian Bay? I haveca 53 Hatteras with 4 ft draft will I be o.k.? Can a boat that size use the big chute lock? Any other info would be appreciated! Thanks!

We really enjoyed the TSW. It is a beautiful passage and I believe that a 54 footer with a 4 foot draft will make it through. Some of it will be tight for you and you may feel the bottom a few times but you will make it. Georgian Bay is fabulous and once you head down Lake Michigan you will enjoy having a bit bigger waterline. Where are you going from there? Your air draft may stop you at Chicago.
