[Floating Bonds]

I just purchased a 2008 Cruisers 330 with twin Volvo engines. Before putting it in the water I had my mechanic do quite a bit of work just getting it ready for a year of cruising. Not long after I noticed codes flashing on the stbd tach. Two different codes that alternated repeatedly. I sent them to my mechanic but he’s not responding. Now the LCD screen is blank - not even displaying the run hours.

Anybody know what these mean or where I can look them up? I have all of the original service manuals that came with the boat but no reference to service codes.

Gas or diesel engines? EVC version? Does the warning light on (red triangle)?

Gasoline engines.
No EVC.
No red triangle warning light.

Okay. Are engines run as usual, no derate, no buzzer alarm? Can you see coolant temp. and oil pressure? Are they similar on both engines?

Engines run fine. No alarms, oil pressure and coolant temps are in range. Did you recognize the codes in the photos that I attached.

Never seen those before. I tend to think there is a grounding/short problem on the engine bus. Have you ever seen the correct engine hours displayed instead of these “codes” ?

Yes, prior to the work done by the mechanic the correct engine hours did display.

Hum…did you mechanic worked only on the engines or also at the helm? He may have messed a wire/connection.
You can try this:
With keys off, turn off both battery switches, than disconnect negative wire from both cranking batteries. Wait 30 seconds. Reconnect all wires, turn on batt. switches. If an ECM is somewhat “disturbed”, this may bring it back to normal. If you have an house (acc.) battery, make sure it is not connected to engines before doing this.
