Water drainage

We have a 35 ft. 2016 express cruisers yacht. My problem is when you turn water on in the head sink it backs up through the floor drain. Anyone know what could be happening? Yhanks inadvance for any help.

Re: Water drainage

Is the boat under warranty? If so, can that help your situation.

Sounds like it could be a clog, could be a loose hose clamp, could be split hose...

Would probably be good to go straight to your boat manufacturer and get them involved.

When you say "express cruisers" do you mean a Cruisers (brand) boat? Or an express cruiser (style of boat)?

In any case, if you can't easily trace the problem it'd be good to go straight to the maker, with a boat that new. Even if not within warranty, they should have a clue... and they should be very interested in helping you sort it out.

Re: Water drainage

My suspicion would be that they both use the same through-hull for draining, and it is clogged.

Re: Water drainage

If you have a sump, could be it's slow to turn on, fails to turn on.

Re: Water drainage

Perhaps the thru hull valve is closed?
