What is this??

Hello everyone,
Brand new to this forum. Been boating for some time, just on other people's boats. Lol! Came on here hoping someone out there might have answers. I bought a little fixer upper tub, been trying to figure out exactly what I have but info seems to be scarce. What I think I know so far:
15.5 - 16 feet, ( haven't measured it yet)
Aluminum hull. Seems like a really sturdy well build hull.
Manufactured by Canadian Barrel and Keg Canbar Marine Crestliner.
Any photos I've been able to find online suggest it's a late 60's Crestliner. Possibly a Crestliner Dane?? Originally had a fuel tank in the front. Still has the filler cap up there. Motor for all I could dig up is an 81, but the hull is what is the real mystery to me. I've enclosed a few photos. One of previous owners slammed bolts for a kicker mount through the nameplates, so some info is obscured, but I anyone knows what the heck this thing is, any info would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance.

Re: What is this??

It's a Crestliner. Someone ran a stud or bolt right through the nameplate.

Crestliner had a plant in Waterloo,Ontario Canada, amongs other locations.

Re: What is this??

Yeah, I knew it was a Crestliner, I just have no idea year or model. I Googled myself to sleep trying to find a way to decode the serial number. It's a pretty neat old boat, and considering it hasn't been really well looked after it's really, really solid.
Thanks for your reply.
