Ajustable Pitch Propeller

Trying to the remember the maker of an adjustable pitch 3 bladed propeller.
The Pitch could be adjusted from inside the cockpit by means of a manually operated lever even while underway, under power. The Prop was bronze about 15" diameter????

Hundestadt....I really liked them.....used in conjunction with Exhaust Gas Temperature, you could fine tune it underway.

The biggest problem is people screwing around with the settings when you are off watch.....So I had a way of setting and disabling it.

I think Sabb still make small units of this size.
Hundestedt only make large sizes, 200hp+ for eye watering prices.
There have been others around from small companies, eg the Trident from NZ, I used to have one of these in my yacht, as do a few other NZ cruisers

Thanks CE and Marinheiro,
I think it must have been the SAAB - it was on a bright yelllow trimaran called "Papillon" owned and built by a Swede - The engine was in the range of 20 <> 35 hp. Always thought it was the way to go - cannot remember if the leverage activated hydraulics. I think it was purely mechanical.

The Saab had a variable pitch propellor but I certainly haven't seen them around for quite a few years. Had a friend that had one in his Aluminum Colvin Schooner many years ago. It really worked great.
regards,

Ladback,

Gosh!! I hate to tell you this. My boatyard pushed a complete Saab engine and V.P drive system into the landfill about 6 months ago. It came out of a venus 28 that burned to the waterline, but everything worked.
