Badly corroded P Bracket...repairable?

Hi all.

I am considering buying this 42" Tatoosh by Rob Perry. There are a few issues with it but quite manageable.

My main concern is this bracket.

Can it be salvaged by building up with bronze solder? A boilermaker mate of mine suggested that this can be done but is this too far gone?

Problem is availability of a replacement so I need to look at alternatives.

Thanks for your comments etc.

Re: Badly corroded P Bracket...repairable?

I ended up reshaping both the bracket and the prop with body filler and sent it to a foundry. They used them as patterns and a machine shop did the final machining. Worked out quite well for around USD900 total for the pair.

Cheers
