None taken, but I was making a slightly different point.

In the past I had always anti fouled the prop on my previous boats. I was very dubious about the thin coating of lanolin, but it was recommended by a respected big yard so I tried it, thinking that it would wash off in minutes. What I found was that yes, there was fouling on the propeller, but it came off very easily with no damage to the surface.
