Bow Thruster Recommendations

Hi All … does anyone have a recommendation for a bow thruster for a 2001 Beneteau 361? Thank you! Brian

Stay away from Max Power. Heat sensor problems. NO support.

Brian, your Beneteau 361 is a fin keel/spade rudder of moderate size (13,500lbs). It will pivot in its own length.

You don't need a bow thruster.

Further, it is a BIG drag producer (large hole in the bow) and weight of the thruster and wiring will be in a bad place, plus take up some of your limited storage space, and add a maintenance item.

In my view this will hurt performance and useablity of your boat for very limited benefit.

I have had good results with a “Quick” bow thruster on a 46 ft.

I've had luck with Side Power.

Not worth it in my opinion. Side power are good quality. Stay away from quick. You may want to consider a retractable unit if you have the coin.
