Confused with prop markings

We're repowering and trying to determine prop size. I'm confused with our existing prop though...

Markings say 16 x 12 LH which i presumed to mean its a 16" prop.
When i measure the radius from the centre of the prop shaft its 235mm (9.25 inches)... surely this means that its an 18" prop?

Its a BRI-SKI brand and I've emailed the manufacturer and await their response... do some manufacturers measure prop radius/size with the hub excluded?

Shaft diameter is 1 1/4 " so hub and shaft are likely to be about 2"

tried uploading photo of markings but can't figure out how...

Approximately (2 x 9.25" =18.5")
Propeller diameter is the distance across the circle that the propeller would make when rotating (tip to tip on a 2-blade), or two times the distance from the center of the hub to the tip of the blade.

Re: Confused with prop markings

Yes that's what I thought... and yet the prop is stamped 16 x 12.... doesn't make sense to me.
