Flexible Propellers

Has anybody used a flexible/plastic/rubber
prop?

I did a search but didn't find any info on 'em.

I have a kiwi prop on my boat... so far so good... Plastic blades... certainly not flexible though.

Never heard of a flexible prop. Composites out there like the Kiwi, as posted, but definately not flexible. Don't see how you could get much thrust out of a truly flexible prop.

CDI make some interesting urethane propellers. Never seen one but the concept of variable pitch through letting the blades flex slightly is clever.

The only flexible props I know of, are used on small outboards. Mercury come to mind.
