OJ flex gland dripless seal

I’m Looking at dripless and came across this gland seal by Johnson propeller. No external water source needed. Looks like they are installed in lots of ski boats, I could not find anyone on any forum who had this on a sailboat, just wondering if there is a specific reason they are not suited? thanks
Eric
