paragon p21 transmission

Hi all I have an oil leak from the gasket under the gear shift housing, I wonder if anyone has had this problem and is it possible to lift that housing and replace the gasket, or perhaps someone has a workshop manual that I could borrow/ buy. Currently cruising Malaysia so I can get a mechanic to look at it in about 2 months but it spits out about a litre of oil every 10 hours so I would like to try and fix it before then.
Cheers Ian

Re: paragon p21 transmission

Hi all
I was wondering if anyone can help, I need to find the size for the hex bolts on top of the paragon transmission we are going back to Malaysia next week and we would pickup a tool for the job before we leave from Australia
Cheers Ian and Alison

Im not sure if that trans is metric or sae so look at the bolt to see if it has "iso m" or "m" stamped on it for metric. If it has just numbers or nothing its probably sae. So get your self a full socket set and wrenches of the right kind for future repairs, sounds like you need one.

Re: paragon p21 transmission

Its sae and we have a comprehensive tool kit but this is a hex drive of large size and its and it the only one we dont have an hex driver / allen key for, because its hex drive there is nowhere for the usual stamps as in a bolt, so the person I need would have some experience or able to measure their own one.from past experience its hard t get any sae tools in asia we spent six months looking for a 3/8 ring spanner that I dropped over the side. So I would like to try here before we return . Thanks
