If you’re thinking fixed go with a Campbell sailor prop http://www.westbynorth.com get ahold of them and they will provide size and pitch based on your boat, engine and tranny. More power, less drag, less walk, less engine strain all for almost the same price as a michigan. You can generally send it back for re-pitching a few times to fine tune it.

Re: replacing my 2 blade with a 3 blade prop

Best to start with dia x pitch of existing prop. Also measure and check the clearances of the existing 2 blade prop. Then also determine if your engine, with a clean bottom, is able to run up to the max rpm specified by manufacturer. Knowing these details will help you pick the right prop. You should probably read David Geer and also involve a good local prop shop known for helping solve these kinds of problems.

Re: replacing my 2 blade with a 3 blade prop

I have a 15" feathering prop from ewoltech dot com for a 1" shaft
that did not fit my Allmand 31 between the strut and rudder.
PM me if interested.
