S130 saildrive input spline

I am looking for someone that has a S130 saildrive that does not have an engine on it, I am needing to know the size of the spline on the input shaft.
This is for a future project. TIA.

Re: S130 saildrive input spline

The info provided by FPNC above is mostly correct, in that the dimensions given are the spline sizes for the common Hurth/ZF transmission input shafts, as used by many engine suppliers, VP included. The 130s saildrive will work with dampers with this spline dimension.

However the actual dimension of the 130s input shaft is 23 x 26 x 10 splines.
This allows the shaft to be used with an adapter sleeve to step up it’s diameter to the common 26 tooth involute spline, frequently called a Borg Warner spline and found on somewhat larger engines.

Here’s a photo of the adapter, should you need it for your project.

I like it. Thanks DougR. My day is not complete unless I learn something.
