Size of stuffing box packing for C&C 34ft

Hello. I have a 1982 C&C 34ft sailboat and I want to replace the packing in the stuffing box. The manual does not give the packing size. Does anyone know what the correct size would be

Depends on your shaft diameter. You're probably 1" which means you need 1/4" packing. Make sure you get teflon.

Would guess 1/4 like suijin... But... The stuff's (HA) so cheap, you can buy a few sizes...

Measure the ID of stuffing box, measure OD of shaft and subtract from ID, divide by 2. This is the size packing you will need.
