If it's been working for you, that's great. I have a similar misalignment, and the pro seals worked better for me. I had excessive carbon spraying from the regular ones, and they only lasted about 3 years before I had minor leaking start.

Engine mounts should be replaced in pairs, You are already defeated ( or soon will be by changing only one ).

Center the shaft in the sterntube... Plus-minus a coue of mil or so... Stands to reason.
