Volvo Penta folding 3 blade broken

My Volvo Penta 3 blade folding prop is broken. Any idea how to repair it or buying new? What is a best alternative brand for them?

The fractured piece is part of the inner rubber cushion hub, and the fracture looks like it could be related to corrosion.

If the holes for the blade pivot pins are in good shape, with not much wear, a new hub could be pressed in by a good prop shop. That will be the least expensive option.

Or, a new hub could be purchased and used with the old blades.

The replacement splined hub for the Volvo Penta saildrive folding prop is VP # 3851532, and you source it from a VP dealer.

You can find a VP dealer near you by using the dealer locator at volvopenta.com .
Unfortunately I cannot help you with the name or location of a prop shop in France or Spain that has the tools and skills to install the new splined hub in the old bronze hub. In N America, it isn’t VP dealers that usually do this work, but propeller shops that deal with lots of outboard and I/O propellers. It does take special tools, and a fairly healthy hydraulic press to install the hub.

If you decide to go for a complete new hub, you can get that from a VP dealer and use it with your old blade set if they are in good condition.
