Yanmar SD40 Shifting problems

Got some problems shifting back to neutral, or sometimes shifting give me a cranking noise like gear noise...any idea ?

Did you test the cables and linkage? Maybe you are getting an incomplete throw from a stiff or loose cable.

I have had slipping and bearing issues with sd40, but never a gear engagement noise..

Hello thanks for the answer....was juste missing some oil...the maintenance did not do the oil change properly....
