3" diameter bilge sump

Looking for suggestions on how to rig a automatc bilge pump.
The sump in the bottom of my bilge is 3" diameter and 10" deep

Whale makes one that has a strainer/no return valve that is less than 3" square. That connects to the pump with a 3/4" hose. I believe it would work in your bilge.

You might consider a self-priming centrifugal with a dip tube suction in the bottom of that sump. Also place the float switch in the sump and an alarm above the pump. If you winter out, remove & empty the pump.

Yeah.. one of the companies now makes a long narrow bilge pump now with pretty good output.
