Advice Needed

The pipe that exits my water tank">fresh water tank has begun to leak at the joint it makes with the flange, not the threads. The water tank is plastic, as is the plumbing. The water tank is 75 gallons.

It looks like the plumbing is original. The problem part is about 3 inches. Female threads onto water tank and connects to a 90 degree bend. The other end is female and threads from 90 degree to the in/off valve and then to the filter screen, and on the the water pump, accumulator and out.

My question:

Can I use PEX and slip fittings and not worry about losing 75 gallons of fresh water in the boat? Can I use threaded flex hose?

Thank you,
Ben
