AZORE & CANARY ISL PROPANE/BUTANE

Would like feedback on cruisers who have bought propane on Azores and Canary Islands with US tanks. I'm familiar with the Trident adapters. Would like "real life feedback" not theoretical. What Island did you get the propane/butane? Would they fill US tanks with adapters? Did you need to purchase Euro tanks?..Thanks--

In Horta, Azores you can leave your American style propane tank on the dock near the fuel pump in the marina. They will pick it up and deliver it back. No adapters required.
