Best boost pumps for watermaker?

I have a 40 gph watermaker and currently have a March AC5 boost pump. This pump has been trouble free forever but it is now corroding a bit to much to my liking and I am considering replacing it.

What boost pumps are people using? My preference would be 240V 60Hz as that is what the 1.5hp motor of the high pressure pump uses, but I can use 120V or even DC.

Re: Best boost pumps for watermaker?

I have been using Iwaki pumps for a while and have been happy with them. 30 gph 120vac system.

I use a pressure washer cat pump. Some use the pump and motor from an cheap 120v pressure washer depending on your flow needs.

Re: Best boost pumps for watermaker?

I use this. I have been considering adding another in series to increase pressure, but with non dirty filter i get about 5 psi at the HP pump. Once left it of after making water with the suction shut for 12 hours and the pump was ok
