Busse MF On-board Waste Water Treatment

Has anybody used one of these in their boat? Have you ever seen it before? It seems like it would be a good way to handle the waste generated on a boat with little hassle. I'm just wondering how long it will last and continue to work once it is in operation. It appears that they ave installed this on a few boats in Europe already.

I'm not 100% sure how it works, but it looks like it is a improved composting toilet where the waste products break down to CO2 and H20 using bacteria and membrane filters.

The process seems to fit the description of a Type II (treatment devices for vessels over 65'). Check out the Raritan Managerm, the Microphor treatment device, "The MSD"...they all work pretty much the same way, each just has its own "improvements." They're also a lot larger and cost a LOT more than any Type I (treatment devices for boats up to 65').

They also look like it is easier to deal with the waste products. I would spend a few thousand to have it work automatically without needing to pump out.

Thanks for the information on those other models. It helped me figure out a little more of the entire boat system I would like.
