Other brands of gas

Oui, Mark, ça va bien.

If you find Camping Gaz bottles too small, you should be able to get bigger ones from other brands.

For example, in France, you can find these propane bottles from Butagaz. They are sold for houses and trailers. Of course, you will need another type of regulator .

Don't use the valve in the original post!!!!!!!!

Needless to say when I tested the valve in the original post it was a high preasure valve. Only open the tinest bit the stove was like the Space Shuttle ignition!! I thought the stove, me and the boat were going into orbit!

I took the old regulator and the new valve into the Gas (gaz) shop today at our newest port of call larger than a village and we did swapsies onto a different valve and a new regulator.

Now the gas flow isn't very strong at all!

That I need to sus out.

The new reg says 0.3-16 Bar LPG
29mbar (3kpa)
1kg/h

Photo below of the new one (Yes I know the hose is going on the full way as soon as I boil some water!)
