Catalina 300 check pre filter

Our 17 yr old Catalina 300 is giving me a check pre filter alarm..it happens exactly one minute into the flush cycle and stops the flush..if I turn off the breaker and bypass and start the flush it will finish...quality is good and production is ok..Now it has begun alarming during the production cycle..I can hit the button and productions continues and alarm goes off..but it will eventually happen again. These are the original sensors and I read a response by JT that this happens and one option is to remove or disconnect the sensors..how do I do so? We're in Bahamas the remote part..so I can't get parts...can someone detail how to do this

I know J.T. He will recommend an analog pressure gauge instead on such an older system. But until then on an older Catalina like this the two sensors are located on the top of the five- and twenty-micron pre-filter housings. They are connected with a quick disconnect fitting. Just unplug both of these fittings and that will eliminate it false alarming in "Check pre-filters" during the flush. There is a chance that there is a control board issue because a real service prefilter alarm would pop up a lot faster on a regular run cycle which you haven't reported that it is doing.
