Composite 45 degree fitting

Hi,
Question: Where can I find 45 degree composite fittings 3/4", 1", 1 1/4" for seacocks?

Background:
I'm about to replace my nine seacocks on my Beneteau Ocenais 411.
I want Trudesign composite seacocks and valves, but I need 45 degree fitting between the seacock and the valve due to space constrain. Trudesign only have 90 degree fittings.

It can be solved with a bronze or stianless steel fitting(as on the picture, same boat modell as mine), but then the point with composite is compromised.

I've looked at Forespar Marelon, I don't find 45 degree fittings there either.

Any suggestions appreciated.

/Jakob

Re: Composite 45 degree fitting

Many of the camlock hose fittings are glass-filled polypropylene or glass-filled nylon. Banjo has a few glass-filled PP 45º street elbow fittings. Bee Valve might also have something.

The devil will be in the thread details, your profile doesn't list location, and most that you find in the US will be NPT, but you might find something similar in Europe/Oz/NZ with straight threads.

All the normal caveats that you will get here about ABYC, CE, strength, sinking of your boat, etc. but if you can find one the right dimensions in a glass-filled material I'd be reasonably comfortable.

Re: Composite 45 degree fitting

Schedule 80 should be...it's what all the Dometic/SeaLand sanitation system fittings have been for several decades with no reports of failure that I'm aware of, and I've been active in the marine sanitation field for 35 years and online since the mid-90s.

That said...it's your boat and your comfort level. You won't hurt my feelings if you're not comfortable with sched 80 pvc. But you might consider gettiing a second opinion before ruling out the only 45 degree fittings I could find.

Thanks Heywood,
Good point with the thread profile. I'm in Europe (I have updated my profile), the Trudesign seacocks and valves are from New Zeeland, I assume they are using the European standard.

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it

Not necessarily. They're sold in the US by a US sanitation and plumbing equipment mfr (Raritan Engineering) using the US thread profile. So I'm guessing that Trudesign adjusts the profile to match the standard needed.

Re: Composite 45 degree fitting

Indeed, from the Tru-Design FAQ:

Quote:
Question

Identification of threads BSP or NPS ?

Answer

Tru-Design manufacture these marine fittings with two types of threads:
BSP British Standard Pipe for the European market.
NPS National pipe straight for the US market.
Each threaded fitting will have either a B for BSP or N for NPS.
If no marking is visible, it will be BSP.
