Convert Euro boat propane system to US/ABYC

Hi all, I have a 2014 European Beneteau now in the US and I want to convert the current Euro propane setup to US/ABYC spec - adding US tank, regulator and solenoid. I need advice on how to approach the fitting that comes into the propane locker. This fitting is essentially a through hull (or wall in this case) elbow where the copper propane line inside the boat terminates through the wall with a male thread fitting (I believe it's a flare fitting and it's metric) to which the tank's pigtail line currently connects to. I believe that this male thread is of a funky size for US spec so even if I buy a US pigtail, it's not going to mate up.

I figure I have two options:
- have a plumber (marine) come out and change that termination point of the copper to make is a 3/8" male flare
- go to propane dealer and have them make a pigtail line with the euro metric connection on one end, and the 3/8" US spec on the other end

Has anyone out there dealt with this? Any advice?
Thanks!

I would ask Ward at Beneteau USA.

Re: Convert Euro boat propane system to US/ABYC

Thanks for the advice. In the end this is what I did - went to a hose supply store, in this case "industrial hose" and had them cut off one end of the hose and replace it with a US propane fitting. Since it wasn't their hose they wouldn't warranty it. In a few years I'll need to replace that hose so I'll look to Europe to supply me with some euro propane connectors and combine the two when having a new pigtail made up.
