Re: Engel, Dometic Freezers & Frig Box products

I put an Engel into an insulated box that slides into the knee space under the chart table. It's suspended on locking slides.
Gives us a dedicated freezer that uses a modest amount of power and 5 years of full time use without a hiccup.

Re: Engel, Dometic Freezers & Frig Box products

Have you considered the Norcold or Isotherm conversion kits? I installed a Norcold system in my current refrigerator that is switchable 12v/120vac and kept my Seafrost cold plate system installed as well. Now I have two AC systems, engine driven, and 12vdc all in one refrigerator. The conversion kit only cost $700. My refrigerator is large built in and I have many options to keep my food cold. Of course I only use one at a time unless I want it cold now. The Norcold will run off solar and is very stingy on 12 volt current.
