One small issue to think about with salt water pumps is stinky salt water in the line. It is handy if you have some way to drain the system or at least fill it with fresh water if you are leaving it closed for a few weeks otherwise it can get pretty rank with a rotten egg smell that takes a fair bit of flushing to get rid off. Shorter runs and dark hoses also help.
