? FW Pump Quits

Okay, here's a puzzler. Relatively new Jabsco FW pump happily makes water gush from the faucets when turned on. However, if I leave the faucet open (trying to flush the tanks), it quits running after about five minutes and won't come back on for a half hour -- at which time it works full force again. I removed the screen from my galley faucet (it WAS clogged) but no better. Left on with the faucets closed, it periodically pipes up to pressurize the lines.

? Ideas ?

If this is the case you have a leak in the line. Once pressurized the pump should not come on unless you open a faucet.

Sounds like the pump is overheating and cutting out. If it were air in the system (my first thought) the pump would still run, just no water coming through.

Thanks Rick. Doubtless some small leaks in the line. Will chase those down. Pump overheating maybe ... I've got the panel off and the pump exposed for now and the casing isn't getting real hot. Just need it to run long enough to get a shower ...
