Re: Heater hose used in head

It doesn't stink because it's new and hasn't permeated yet. Or because whatever had been pulled into the old hose to die, decay and stink is gone now. Or both.

Peghall,
Possibly. Except I had a black heater hose on the intake for over 2 years before changing to white marine grade hose and never....repeat NEVER had any odor.
Sure is interesting how people seem to want my head to stink.....

Re: Heater hose used in head

Only two years?? CHEAP sanitation hose can permeate very quickly, but not all sanitation hose is created equal, and you do get what you pay for. Trident 101 has been on the market for 20 years without a single reported odor permeation failure. So enjoy your heater hose while it it remains odor-free...and when it starts to stink, you might want to do just wee bit more research into sanitation hoses unless you just like replacing hoses every two years.
