Inner coating for stainless steel water tank

Hi everybody.
I was told by a friend that there's a product that can be applied as a paint to the inner surface of a stainless steel water tank to prevent corrosion and leaks, any idea of what kind of product this is?, brands?
Note: It's not a kind of paint, that's just the way it's applied.
Thank you very much.

Re: Inner coating for stainless steel water tank

Jotun ‘Tankguard DW’ is a two-part, solvent-free, epoxy coating/lining, specially designed for potable water tanks and pipes.
The problem is that Tankguard DW is only available in 15 litre tins (enough to coat approx. 60 m²), requires very good surface preparation, something that could prove difficult in small tanks, and is expensive, when compared to normal paints.

Re: Inner coating for stainless steel water tank

I'm not sure why you would want to coat a stainless steel water tank. The amount of surface preparation you would need for any coating system to perform correctly would be very difficult to achieve, even if building a new tank with complete access to all nooks, crannies and corners. Not having a properly prepared surface would create more of a problem than leaving the internal surface alone.
