Is it possible to have on board pressure washer

Is it possible to have on board pressure washer with hose long enough to reach all areas of vessel?

Search "wash down pump" on your preferred marine supply website.

Re: Is it possible to have on board pressure washer

It would be possible, but if you mean a real pressure washer and not just a lower pressure washdown pump, it's probably not practical. Or useful, for that matter. In my mind, high pressure water for anything other than hull cleaning is risky on a boat.

Re: Is it possible to have on board pressure washer

I have one of these on board:

https://www.amazon.com/WORX-WG625-Hy.../dp/B07HMG198J

Not as powerful as a real pressure washer, but does the job.

Water supply can be even as little as a soda bottle. Wash the boat in a remote anchorage or a mooring.

The only negatives, you will need to be able to recharge the battery, small inverter or solar..... And, you need to have enough freshwater to get the job done.

You don't need to pressure wash the deck and topsides. Pressure washers are used on the hull during a haul-out. A bucket and stiff bristled brush are what is needed. A wash down pump (low pressure) and hose for rinsing is nice though.

Why do you need a long hose? Just carry it around with you.

I have one of the small Makita ones on board. I used to use it quite a bit for scrubbing the bottom of my old, larger RIB. Not needed for the present smaller one which never gets left in the water. So I rarely use it now. I should probably get rid of it.

Why do you want a pressure washer? What do you intend to use it for?

Right. This.

Sure. There are coiley hoses that store well also.

Re: Is it possible to have on board pressure washer

I do. My high pressure pump for the watermaker doubles as a pressure washer. In fact it's a pressure washer pump. I have quick connect fittings, the only change I do is use the pressure adjustment on the pump that is wide open for watermaking and control the pressures at the membranes.

Maybe not constantly? My boat has a lot of textured non skid on the deck and a pressure washer saved me hours and hours of hand scrubbing (Ranger 28, North Coast of BC)

Re: Is it possible to have on board pressure washer

For distance, you can buy extensions of pressure hose. They have the same ends with an adapter between sections. Pressure washing is low volume, so distance doesn't seem to effect pressure.
And using my watermaker pump beats hauling around a gas pressure washer.
