isotherm evap reconnect?

Greetings, have a newish aircooled isotherm bd50 with evaporator box. I have two questions: the box was a bad decision on my part it doesn't get used eventually frosts over and takes up valuable space. I would like to just have a L shapped plate, has anyone had luck straighten one of these back out? If that option doesn't work can you disconnect and reconnect a new evaporator plate without losing the charge Thanks in advance

You will not be successful trying to reshape a plate.

You will need to evacuate, disconnect, and properly recharge after reassembly. Not something easily done.
