Jabsco o-ring question

I have a manual Jabsco head and the parts diagram says part # 44101-1000 is the o-ring that goes between the bowl and the base. But when I find that part online the sites all say it's for the Jabsco electric or quiet flush heads.

Has anyone replaced that o-ring on a manual flush head and used that part #?

Thanks.

Re: Jabsco o-ring question

If that o-ring is the bowl gasket I'm 99% sure the same one is standard on all toilets, manual or electric. However, instead of taking my word for it (I'm occasionally wrong), I suggest you give Jabsco's toilet guru a call... Paul Campagna...his direct line is 978.282.5246

The parts diagrams for the manual head and the electric head have the same part number - easy to google.

Re: Jabsco o-ring question

Another alternative is to take the old oring to a seal/bearing shop where they will simply replace it with an identical one... and likely at a much lower price than one from the OEM.

Re: Jabsco o-ring question

Thanks. I had seen threads on this forum that suggested that approach and seemed to say that the Jabsco rings were only available via an expensive kit. That's partly what made me unsure whether the ones I saw online were correct.

Re: Jabsco o-ring question

^^^^
It is very unlikely that Jabsco would go to the trouble and expense of using a non-standard o-ring in their products. There is an incredible variety of size and material available from folks like Parker, and the requirements of a static face seal like the toilet base are simple.

I bet it would be just fine!
