The KMC site has it wrong...The vented loop in the toilet intake line actually belongs between the pump and the bowl. If you put it between the inlet thru-hull and the pump it'll interfere with the toilet pump's ability to prime. So you had it in the right place...and you definitely have it high enough!


And that rules out the flush water inlet line as the source of the water rising in your bowl. Another vented loop in the toilet discharge line--also mounted high--should cure the problem.
