I had a similar problem on a different make of fridge. The compressor was actually a 12 or 24v unit with a converter to take 110 to 12. When I bypassed the converter and took 12v straight to the compressor it worked fine. The problem was in the converter, voltage was getting through but not enough amps to run the fridge. It was the 2nd converter or the unit because I had a similar problem with the first. The 2nd failed in Bahamas, so I now just run it as 12 volt and it works great. When on shore power, the battery charger keeps up fine.

FWIW I have a freezer with the same converter that has worked trouble free for 2 years.

Assuming yours is similar, try bypassing the voltage converter and see if it runs OK.

no manual but experiance, sorry, It works on AC because it is only transformed to about 40VAC to move the compresor pump,12vdc must be converted to 40VAC and it need complicated electronic circut where many elements can fail, sometime it is only corrosion easly seen on the circut board.

Recently,I got a 12 volt/120 volt fridge for free.
Same problem, the 12 volt didn't work. A couple of power transistors later, it worked fine. Did I mention, I fixed it myself with no soldering? They were mounted on a small circuit board with a couple of screws in each one.

Re: Need Manual Troubleshooting Norcold SCQT-6406 works AC volt not DC volts ?

I know this is an old thread but I think this would be of help to others.

The manual for the Norcold SCQT-6406 can be obtained here:
