Re: No Water at any fixture

WATER: Tank -> Fitting -> Hose -> Shutoff (optional) -> Pump -> faucets

12V ELECTRICAL: Batteries -> Battery Switch -> 12V Breaker -> Pump Switch (Optional, often in the Galley) -> Pump

I'd trace both the water and the 12V from the source to the end and verify everything is working.

Most Common (basic) Issues:

Tank Empty
Battery Switch Off
pump switch off
Batteries Dead
water shutoffs closed (Pump would still actuate and make noise)
Clog (Pump would still actuate and make noise)
Pump circuit open or corroded.
Pump is dead.

As mentioned, you came looking for assistance with no information beyond “nothing’s getting water.” Considering the simplicity of boat water systems (tank, hose, pump, fixture), and the 10,000 diagrams of them available on the internet, it’s a natural assumption your not… experienced. Sh*tting on someone trying to help, given the information you provided, isn’t productive at all. It’s a ‘forum;’ don’t want all input, go somewhere else.

Along the same vein, I lost major pressure on a system a few years back. Pulled everything apart twice, then ten more times with no joy. Turned out the pump diaphragm was clogged from bits of plastic shavings from an earlier install of inspection ports. Still scarred… 😂

1 Pumps broken.
2 lines got a hole in it.
3 check valve inline is frozen shut.
4 Tanks empty
5 no power to pump

Hey Shabby Sailor,
Some just don't know how to ask!

Let's not be rude and chase them off yet.
They'll learn.

Re: No Water at any fixture

Start with the most common, obvious causes and work your way to more complicated ones. For a boat pressure water system I’ve found the most common causes fir this are-

1. AIR IN SYSTEM- it’s been sitting empty and filling up with water doesn’t remove the air in the system- bleed it! How to do so depends upon your configuration so we would need more detail to help.

2. Pump pressure switch or diaphragm- these things fail when unused and are the most common replacement parts needed

Re: No Water at any fixture

From your post I guess you are finding your way around a new-to-you boat.
Before touching any of the pump- parts, just check it is getting power.
Frequently there i a separate swith, fitted by a previous owner in an attemmpt to discipline crew. Then check in line fuses as well as those at the navigation board.

Re: No Water at any fixture

The OP has fixed his problem. But, to carry on just a bit further, these small, diaphragm pumps do rely on a good seal in the valve area. Otherwise, they will not prime. Thus, the recommendation to use an upstream filter.

A bit over the top considering you asked for any suggestions

Sorry, I haven't seen the final comment by anyone as to what was found to be the problem.
Could you mention what was the problem?
Thanks
