Old faucet parts

Ahoy all our 1985 Hans Christian 48t needs some tap parts as they leak and the issue is they are 4 1/2 inch centres so no one can help me,, the spindles have rubber bits on the end to seal the flow when shut off but they are worn out and I would hope I don't have to replace them all two heads, two showers and a sink,,,Sandra Jane Fratino

Re: Old faucet parts

Sounds like you need new tap washers. Available at any half decent plumber's merchant/hardware store.

Re: Old faucet parts

I will post pics of my old system. It sounds as if I have what you need. I have many end cups that were spares.

Re: Old faucet parts

Let me know if this is what you have. I couldn't find the cups, but I know I should have them. I found all the old faucets and I like most sailors never throw anything away until right before I need it.

Re: Old faucet parts

An old fashioned hardware store often has faucet parts and seals for stuff a hundred years old. Most marine stores just carry the latest Chinese plastic stuff.

The problem there is that the big box stores have virtually put them all out of business. They are almost non-existent in all but very rural areas.

The units I have are also 4 1/4 centers from 1979ish.
