Pex push on fittings and pumps

I am planning a new fresh water plumbing system. I will use Pex A for flexibility and plan on the Watts push on connectors to make connections. How do I connect to the Jabsco fresh water pump with Pex? Jabsco has port push in fittings sized with say 1/2”. How can I connect Pex to them? Will I have to use a short piece of regular water hose between the pump and Pex to connect? That isnt very satisfactory. Can I crimp the Pex onto the Jabsco push in fittings. I didn’t find a Jabsco solution on their parts list. Does anyone have a solution?

A short length of vinyl hose, or even a "service loop" is entirely satisfactory, and it also works to stop "inertia" loading of the plastic fittings on the pump, caused by the relatively rigid Pex.
Pex is "somewhat" flexible, but compared to vinyl hose it's like pipe.
You want the pump to be able to "dance around" on its mounts without torque loading from the connections.

also you may want to consider an inline water pump accumulator .. like the small one by SEAFLOW .. to reduce pump cycling.

You need Flojet/jabsco “Quad Port” x John Guest push-in ( CTS )
Flojet #20381-063 ? Or look at Watts Aqualock ( formerly SeaTech ).
Whale also makes these type fittings.

i have heard that the push on pex connectors can be prone to corrosion. you can can be the judge of that. but there are other compression fittings (flair-it) that are also reusable and made of nylon.

Re: Pex push on fittings and pumps

Good thoughts and thanks, all. And thanks DMBOS for the Flojet part reference,it looks like the solution, albeit an expensive one. I appreciate Bowdries suggestion but I am trying to get away from hoses that accumulate even a hint of mold. The clear, thread wrapped vinyl seem to generate some over time. If the direct Pex leaks I can always incorporate that idea later. I do have an accumulator in the system and it does reduce pumping.

Re: Pex push on fittings and pumps

Update: I used Pex A and Sharkbite fittings. I am 2/3 of the way done. I have all new fresh water Pex and hot water to the under sink area but not connected to the faucets. That’s still hose. I plan on replacing the sink and faucets this winter and will finish up then. Here is a pic of the hot water mixer and connections going from the fresh to the heater connections. Nice work. I use pex at home and it makes plumbing work so much easier - tapping, replacing, running new lines, etc.

Yeah just make sure you fully push the pex all the way in
