Re: Propane Stove/Oven

Dickinson has always had a good reputation. For someone in Canada or nearby, it, being made in Canada, just might be a better deal than one made in China. We have a new Force 10. I am the one who tries to clean its cooktop every morning. The polished s/s shows every little oil spatter, and shows scratches from being wiped with paper towels!

The Dickinson, with liftable burner covers, allows one to remove them, set them to soak, and give easy access to the stove top, whereas, there is nowhere on my boat big enough to set the grille over the burners on the F 10, to soak. To me, it is extremely fiddley to clean.

From Capn Sparky's picture, it looks as if the Dickinson is brushed s/s: imo, much easier to keep looking nice than our polished s/s.

If anybody out there is doing a compare and contrast between the Force 10 and the Dickinson, I'd suggest taking a very close look at the Dickinson, and with special attention to cleaning the oven, as well as the cooking top. Seriously, mine has added noticeably to my cleanup time.

Ann
