Pumping out to portable container

When there are better things to do than to sail around to find a pumpout station is it possible to pump out to a portable container on the dock for disposal at an onshore restroom? There is a pump by the tank.

Re: Pumping out to portable container

I guess you could, if your neighbors are not grossed out by it. I also don't know if the typical shore side toilet can handle all that waste at once and what the owner of the shore side head might think. The smell might be horrendous for anyone who walks into the restroom at the same time. Plus it seems like a huge unnecessary hassle to have to do this. Is there a portable MSD pump out boat in your area?

In California all marinas are required to have a pump out facility and it is supposed to be free as well.

We've got one of these in the marina we're in. It really is handy compared to moving the boat to the pump out slip. Plus it's free to residents.

Not all marinas here have pumpout facilities.

I have dumped porta potties in restrooms.
