Rule 4164 LPH Automatic shut off

Hello.
i was using one of these

Model 4164 LPH 1100

Unfortunately a small strand of dyneema rope found its way into the bilge and wrapped inside the pump having it seize and stop.
It does not run anymore after cleaning and removing the block.

Anyone have experience with this sort of behaviour?
Is the pump now dead or can there anything be done?

it says something about "uilt-in Thermal Cut-Off (TCO) provides added protection for pump and vessel"
Not sure if this is supposed to be temporary or a permanent shut down?

If you're using a sensor instead of a float switch, try bypassing the sensor. They have a high failure rate.

The thermal cut off is usually self resetting after a cooling period.

This model has a sensor built in.
Also it does not run when switched into manual (always on) mode
