Sealing Refrigeration Lines in Box Wall

I am going t,o install a new unit in my frig to change over from my spillover system. This will require cutting hole through the insulation for the lines.

What do you seal this with to provide both air tight seal and insulation?

When I installed a Seafrost system , their instructions were to use "permagum sealing compound" which they provided with the system.

I recommend against that. Instead use a thin wall PVC pipe that the lines/fittings can just pass through and install this into the wall, through insulation etc. while making sure to seal it 100% against moisture ingress.

Then, after the lines are pulled through, use spray foam inside the pipe.

I drilled through everything with a long 1/4” drill bit, thenuse a hole saw from each end to cut through the liners. I usethe pipe to cut out the foam.

Like so:

Use the sealing clay on the inside, form it tight against the tubing and smooth it out, then spray the foam from the outside to fill the hole

there is absolutely no way to get to the back of box/hole. Everything has to be done from the inside the box side.

On a related note, where can I get good seals for my top load doors? I tried the sponge rubber gasket which did not work well. I need to keep the moisture out so to minimize the frost build up on the freezer side. Double seals?

Bummer.
follow my instructions up to the part that says, " spray foam from outside" and delete then, insert "poke small hole in clay to allow foam nozzle/tube to reach through and spray foam from inside, once done, cover small hole with the sealing compound, enjoy cold beverage of your choice while foam cures"
Good luck out there....
