Servicing Eberspacher D3L heater blower

Hello,

I was running my D3L heater for quite long periods and it started generating extra noise. I bought the heater second hand and fitted it without any service. So now I took it apart and found out that the felt ring and wick was in dire need of replacing. So I order replace parts with the gaskets.

But the actual problem generating extra noise is the heater blower. I suspect that it is the bearing inside the blower, although the blower is turning quite smoothly and the is no any extra sideways movement etc. There is some scraping noise when I turn the blower by hand.

I found this video from Youtube:

This not exactly the same model, but this suggests that the blower is serviceable.

Here is the instructions on how to dismantle the blower unit:

Eberspacher D1LCC

So my question is what next? How do I dismantle this bit furtner:

There is no obvious screws or nuts visible. There is an axle going though the unit which connects to the motor when assembled but that's about all. Only thing I can think of is to use some kind of puller to pull the flywheel of, but I fear that it might bear something. Anyone done this or any other good advise?

br,

Kimmo
