Set points for Adler Barber Freezer

I have a Waeco (I think they recently changed their name again) freezer with a tub freezer and spillover fridge, small bar type. Installing a new digital thermometer. What should the set points be? Preferably in Celcius. It has a Danfoss compressor.

We use -18 in the deep freeze and 1 degree C in our fridges. Now if this is a spill over system may not be able to reach -18 in the freezer without freezing all the stores in the fridge. Its all a bit of trial and error , spill over systems are all different with different amounts of insulation between the compartments and if you have a fan to dump into the fridge . The above temperatures are ideal.

For the digital thermostat I need two set points. The start and the stop.

These are the settings I use , freezer on at -16 , off at 18 . Fridge , on at 3 off at 1 . There is always a bit of a swing but these settings work well with my systems .

Thanks, I take it that's a minus 18.

Re: Set points for Adler Barber Freezer

If you have a spillover system the best design I've found is to use a small fan in the middle of the divider that is driven by a dedicated thermostat and a small return area at the top of the wall. This can create a good air flow. Then you can adjust the amount of return to balance the box. It can take a while but we're had good luck with small (2") 24v fans for 12 volt systems; they run slower and give a more gentle air exchange.
