Shrinking my icebox before conversion

I am installing a fridge unit in my top-loading ice box. The box is quite large with a steep sloped area, which is quite useless as far as storing anything. I considered installing shelves, but figure I will just close it off.

The top opening is about 6"x10" and will likely pose access problems, but I would like to do it without ripping apart the cabinet.

Wondering if anyone who has done something similar can suggest the best types of insulation foam (canned?) to use and the best ways of tackling the job.

I have read the the blue bord is better than spray foam. you can also get white fiberglas pannels at Lows or home Depot to line your box with. Also check out Kolman's refrigeratioin books. He will tell you everything and why about refrigeration. I have read in several places that it is easer to insulate and make the bok smaller than to tear everything out and start over. I have found insulated lide lister in R-parts but have not used them. I here the problem with stray foam is it will hild water over the years and lose efficency
