Sterling Cycle other than Coleman?

Does anyone know of any product similar to the Coleman Sterling Power Coolers?

I know they are extremely hard to find, but I would love to have one for a separate freezer.

Does any other company offer something 12 volts that is similar?

I've looked, but haven't found anything yet. I'm looking for sterling cycle, not peltier junction technology.

Re: Sterling Cycle other than Coleman?

I'm not sure about commercially available ones, but the cycle is sufficiently well known- and the mechanical requirements sufficiently simple- that it should be a viable DIY project for a nerdy shop hacker type. Whether such a thing would be efficient is another matter. (And I tend to agree with you re. Peltier junction cooling, it's just too power hungry for this.)

On the other Stirling cycle (Coleman Coolers) thread, there is some commercial available units, but are much more expensive than the Coleman.
