I went out last weekend thurs-Sunday and used the new fridge, here are my observed results:

Temp in long island ny was about 80 so not scorching.

Thursday pm I loaded the fridge with 2 12 packs of beer, 2 2 liter sodas, 3 gallons of iced tea and a bunch of groceries, and turned the unit on. (I put meat and other perishable stuff in the evaporator while the unit cooled). Everything but the groceries were room temp. Almost everything was water from the tea, beer, soda etc.

Unit was at it's coolest setting. Stayed on all night as you would expect drawing about 5 amps.

By friday am was in the 40's. I pulled the stuff out of the evaporator and added ice trays.

By Saturday am I had ice and the unit was 34 in the center, cooler below (the digital thermometer read 26 but the drinks were not frozen thru so not sure what happened. There was some ice in some of the iced tea jugs though.

I turned the dial halfway down Saturday. The unit ran about 30% of the time and the temp stayed in the 34-37 range.

So all in all worked great.

I charged the batteries up and left it on the warmest setting. We will see how much it draws down over the week, but it was barely coming on at that point.

We will see where we get as the summer heats up into the 90's, but so far so good!
